Basketball Court

The basketball court is the area or surface where you play the sport of basketball. Basketball courts are rectangular in shape. A basketball court has two baskets or rings at both ends. The material used in a basketball court is usually hardwood. The hardwood used is normally maple and is vastly polished. On the other hand, you can also find a basket ball court made of suspended plastic tiles that are interlocked. Now, with regards to the basketball court layout, courts come in different shapes and sizes. The official basketball court size should at least be 26 meters by 14 meters wide. However, the basketball court size under the rules of the International Basketball Federation measures 28 in length by 15 meters in width. The basketball court for NBA is a little bigger. The NBA basketball court measures 28.65 meters in length and the width is 15.24 meters.

For high school courts, the basketball court measurements are of course smaller. Their basketball court lines should be within 84 feet by 50 feet. A trampoline basketball court is almost the same layout and dimensions except that the material for the floor used is trampoline.
