On the first six years of the Indiana Pacers basketball, they played at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum, which is also known as the Pepsi Coliseum. However, in the year 1974, the Indiana Pacers arena moved to its new playing ground at Market Square Arena which is located in downtown Indianapolis. In the early years, the Indiana Pacers roster included great players such as Roger Brown, Rick Mount, George McGinnis, and Mel Daniels, with Bob Leonard as the team’s head coach. In the year 1980, Alex English was involved in Indiana Pacers’ trade with the Nuggets for the acquisition of former ABA’s star player George McGinnis. And thereafter, they had played excellent basketball for a while before they went into a slump.
In 1990, Indiana Pacers went the distance in the playoffs but were ousted by the Pistons. But that year was well-remembered by fans as one of the highlight years of Pacers basketball.
