Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors started out as a team in Oakland, California during the 1971-72 NBA season. Previously, they were in San Francisco, but they originated from Philadelphia where the Warriors were founded in 1946. The Golden State Warriors are now a part of the Western Conference, particularly the Pacific Division.
The NBA + Golden State Warriors have been working together for years to build popularity for the team. The team’s website is closely connected with the NBA’s official website. There, you can download the Golden State Warriors schedule, purchase Golden State Warriors basketball jerseys and Golden State Warriors tickets, and select specific seats by looking at their online Golden State Warriors seating chart.
The Golden State Warriors history is illustrious, considering that the team had Wilt Chamberlain when they were still the Philadelphia Warriors. It was on this team that Chamberlain scored a record breaking 100 points in a single game versus the Knickerbockers. As the Golden State Warriors, they also won the NBA finals during the 1974-1975 season, beating Washington in a four game sweep.
The seasons after the championships were, however, lackluster. During the 80s, the Golden State Warriors basketball team was not showing the enthusiasm expected of them. They laid low for a whole decade until Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin came around in the early 90s. These players brought Golden State Warriors basketball to a whole new level. However, the trio was broken up when Richmond was traded to the Sacramento Kings. Chris Webber was added to the team during the season of 1993-94, and the team made the playoffs that time. This was made possible by the aggressive combination of Webber and Latrell Sprewell. However, one year later, the Golden State Warriors’ basketball players were experiencing some internal rift, especially between stars like Webber and Sprewell. Both of them could not conform to the demands of Warriors coach Don Nelson. Nelson was personally selected by Jim Fitzgerald, the Golden State Warriors owner, from 1986 to 1995. The team went into a slump again for another decade.
However, in 2005, Golden State Warriors acquired Baron Davis. Wearing the Golden State Warriors basketball jersey for the first time, Davis brought hope to the entire city with exciting performances in his debut season with Warriors. And true to the expectations of the fans, Davis almost single handedly brought the team to the playoffs during the 2006-2007 NBA season. The Golden State Warriors headquarters never doubted the team’s performance right from the start.
Many fans even believe this is the beginning of a string of Golden State Warriors championship teams of the future. With the great support of the local fans and just like rock-and-roll music, Golden State Warriors are going to keep on rolling!
