Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers is part of the Western Conference, specifically, the Pacific Division. The Los Angeles Clippers were originally the Bufallo Braves when it was established in 1970. The name Los Angeles Clippers was only used in the year 1984, after the team transferred to Los Angeles from San Diego.

Throughout the years, the Los Angeles Clippers history has undergone numerous transformations. The team has made various changes in their coaches and players almost every year since its conception. This is one of the many reasons why the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team never won any final, conference, or division title.

This fate might change anytime now with the current Los Angeles Clippers roster. The team has been continually improving with valuable acquisitions and trades from 2003 up to this point. It all started with Elton Brand and Corey Maggette. Slowly, the team was built around these stars. Still, the Los Angeles Clippers did not make the playoffs for two more seasons. However, the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team was further strengthened when Cotino Mobley and Sam Cassell donned the Los Angeles Clippers jerseys towards the end of the 2005 season.

The next season proved to be a great success for the team. With veteran Sam Cassell, the team went on to qualify for the playoffs with a win- loss record of 47-35. This was their best record since the time they transferred to Los Angeles. People come to the game showing their support by wearing Los Angeles Clippers’ Sam Cassell jerseys. And the stadium is filled with fans wearing Los Angeles Clippers basketball jerseys. With this record, the team went on to win their first playoff series since they last did it in Buffalo. They eventually bowed down to Phoenix in a thrilling seven game series. It was in this year that Elgin Baylor won the NBA Executive of the Year Award.

Los Angeles Clippers unfortunately didn’t make the playoffs it this year. However, the team’s performance is still impressive with its 40-42 win-loss record. This was due to injuries to Corey Magette and Shaun Livingston who would be out for at least one year.

At the Clippers website, supporters of the team can purchase merchandise with the Los Angeles Clippers basketball logo.
